Designed for small office networks, Retail/Point-of-Sale and telecommuter applications, the SonicWALL TZ 170 SP Wireless is a total wired and wireless security platform ensuring continuous network uptime for critical, secure data connectivity through integrated and automated Failover and Failback technologies. Dual broadband WAN connections plus an integrated analog modem and secure 820.11g wireless make the TZ 170 SP Wireless the first appliance to offer automated broadband-to-broadband-to-analog WAN redundancy for unparalleled uptime on both wired and wireless networks. Built on SonicWALL's deep packet inspection technology, the TZ 170 SP delivers comprehensive intrusion prevention against application layer threats. Advanced features such as enforced VPN encryption on the wireless LAN and wireless intrusion prevention services deliver impenetrable wireless security. Network administrators have the option to create multiple zones of access - for wired and wireless workers as well as guest wireless users - offering an unprecedented level of control without compromising network security. The TZ 170 Wireless includes an integrated 802.11g access point, a 5-port switch with designated 802.3af PoE port and a customizable optional port. The TZ 170 SP Wireless ships with SonicOS Enhanced enabling advanced networking features such as ISP Failover, Load Balancing, Policy-based NAT and Object-based Management. With SonicOS Enhanced, the optional port is fully configurable as a second LAN, a second WAN, a WLAN, a DMZ or another customized network zone. The TZ 170 SP Wireless supports SonicWALL's portfolio of security services, including Intrusion Prevention Service, Complete Anti-Virus, Content Filtering Service and Global Security Client and can be managed by SonicWALL's award-winning Global Management System. Every TZ 170 SP Wireless comes standard with 30 days of Intrusion Prevention Service, Network Anti-Virus (10 user), Content Filtering Service (Standard Edition) and 90 days of SonicWALL support.
