Management & Reporting
SonicWALL Management and
Reporting Tools enable your IT staff to maximize
the effectiveness and performance of your
SonicWALL security investment while at the
same time planning for future growth. SonicWALL's
award-winning Global Management System (GMS)
provides small organizations, enterprises
and service providers with flexible, powerful
and intuitive tools to centralize security
policy management for anywhere from several
to thousands of remote SonicWALL integrated
security gateways, VPN and security services
such as gateway anti-virus, anti-spyware intrusion
prevention and content filtering. SonicWALL
GMS scales with growing networks and offers
centralized reporting and monitoring. A browser-based
software application, SonicWALL ViewPoint
creates dynamic, real-time and historical
Web-based reports that offer a complete view
of all network activity through one or more
SonicWALL gateways. ViewPoint generates the
reports based on the syslog data stream that
is received from each SonicWALL gateway through
the LAN, WAN, Wireless LAN (WLAN) or across
a VPN tunnel. ViewPoint then summarizes this
data, allowing administrators to view the
reports for the current day, a previous day,
or for a range of days.
