The PRO 5060 includes a powerful Xeon main processor and two security processors that deliver over 1 Gbps of both Deep Packet Inspection and Stateful Firewall throughput, as well as 500 Mbps of 3DES or AES VPN throughput.

The PRO 5060 integrates SonicWALL's Intrusion Prevention technology, which features a configurable, ultra-high performance Deep Packet Inspection engine that uses parallel searching algorithms up through the application layer to deliver increased attack prevention capabilities over those supplied by traditional stateful packet inspection firewalls.

World-Class Distributed WLAN
The PRO 5060's distributed WLAN capabilities allow easy integration of advanced WLAN services within the organizations existing network and security architectures. Utilizing SonicWALL's new SonicPoint WLAN satellite access point, organizations can offer wireless guest services, AP-to-AP roaming, wireless intrusion detection and more.

Comprehensive Bundling
The PRO 5060 bundles many of SonicWALL's most popular security service and support options, including: 1-year Intrusion Prevention Service, 90 days 8x5 support, 90-day 50-user Anti-virus, 90-day unlimited-user Content Filtering Service (Standard Edition), 2,000 Global VPN Client licenses and ViewPoint Reporting Software.

ISP Failover
The PRO 5060 ensures continuous uptime for Internet and IPSec VPN connectivity by failing over to a second ISP link should the primary link fail. Through ISP Failover, the PRO 5060 delivers highly reliable network connectivity for constant access to critical data.

WAN Redundancy and Load Balancing
The PRO 5060 offers the ability to configure a secondary WAN port, delivering highly reliable network connectivity and robust performance. This secondary WAN port can be used in "active-active" load sharing or Failover configuration providing a highly efficient method for maximizing total network bandwidth.

Hardware Failover
When in "hardware Failover" mode, should the active unit fail, the passive unit automatically detects and assumes responsibility for forwarding traffic, offering greater reliability and redundancy.

Multiple Interfaces per Security Zone
The PRO 5060 allows network administrators to group multiple physical interfaces into logical "Zones" for ease of management and flexibility. Administrators can assign multiple network interfaces, including the VPN tunnel, to a pre- or custom-defined zone of an associated security policy. Using zones as the logical addressing entity provides tremendous flexibility, scalability and added internal security when deploying SonicWALL firewalls in various network topologies.

Multiple Configurable Interfaces
With six fully configurable 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, the PRO 5060 allows network administrators to create additional WANs, LANs, DMZs and custom-defined zones for greater network configuration flexibility as well as internal security.

Flexible VPN Termination and Multiple GroupVPN Connectors
Flexible VPN Termination allows the PRO 5060 to terminate incoming site-to-site VPN connections on any interface, while Multiple GroupVPN Connectors enables the PRO 5060 to terminate incoming VPN Clients on any interface. Customers can apply NAT to all traffic entering and exiting the VPN tunnels.

Object/Policy-based Management
The PRO 5060 provides the ability to define an object such as a user group, network address range, service or interface. When security policies change, the administrator can modify the pre-defined object and propagate the changes instantly without redefining rules, enabling businesses to implement and manage security policies easily and consistently.

Policy-Based NAT
In addition to standard NAT (many-to-one) functionality, the SonicWALL PRO 5060 exposes control of NAT policies to administrators for one-to-one NAT, many-to-many NAT, one-to-many NAT, inbound Port Address Translation (PAT), flexible NAT (for overlapping IP addresses), as well as NAT policies on selective source/destination/source translations. The result is greater control and flexibility to support and manage various NAT requirements, including performing NAT across VPN tunnels.
